Hanson have revealed plans for a summer tour in support of their forthcoming fifth album, Shout It Out. After launching the tour in Buffalo, the band will quickly make their way to Massachusetts for shows at the Cape Cod Melody Tent in Hyannis on Friday, July 23 and the South Shore Music Circus in Cohasset on Saturday, July 24. California rockers Rooney have been tapped to open both shows. Tickets are now on sale through Ticketmaster for 33.75 and $50.75.

Shout It Out is scheduled to drop in stores on June 8 through the band’s own label, 3CG Records. The album, their first since 2007’s The Walk, was self-produced by the trio of brothers. It features special guests: Funk Brothers bassist Bob Babbitt and horn arranger Jerry Hey. Shout It Out‘s lead single “Thinking ‘Bout Somethin'” is now streaming on their official MySpace and its video, which features “Weird” Al Yankovic has become a recent YouTube sensation.
