Hank Williams Jr. has revealed plans to hit Massachusetts next month for a pair of shows. Continuing his support of 2012’s Old School, New Rules, the veteran country star will deliver performances in Lowell and Springfield.

Williams will perform at Lowell’s Tsongas Arena on Thursday, October 10. Tickets for the concert, which range in price from $39.50 to $77, are now on sale through the venue’s box office and website. The following night, he’ll travel west to Springfield for a performance at the MassMutual Center. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $35 to $75, are now on sale through Ticketmaster.

Old School, New Rules was released in July of 2012 and marked his first release through his own label, Bocephus Records. Comprised of twelve songs, the album features a duet with Brad Paisley on “I’m Gonna Get Drunk And Play Hank Williams” and a duet with country music legend Merle Haggard on his classic “I Think I’ll Just Sit Here and Drink”.

“I’m definitely ‘Old School’, and I am making music with ‘New Rules’,” explained Williams in a press release. “People know I’m gonna say exactly what I think and this album is exactly that.”

Along with the shows in Massachusetts, Williams will close out his weekend in New England with a performance at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, Maine on October 12.
