Gym Class Heroes to tour with The Dirty Heads

Genres will collide this fall as the alternative hip-hop group Gym Class Heroes and reggae rockers The Dirty Heads will embark on a co-headlining tour of North America. The two groups will hit Boston’s House of Blues on Monday, October 24. Tickets for the show are now on sale through Live Nation for $20 and $30.

After taking a brief break while frontman Travie McCoy experimented as a solo artist, resulting in the mega hit-single “Billionaire” off of his album Lazarus, Gym Class Heroes are back together and will be touring in support of their forthcoming album, The Papercut Chronicles II. The album, their fifth studio effort and squeal to 2005’s The Papercut Chronicles, is due out October 25, the day after the Boston show. The first single off of Chronicles II, “Stereo Hearts”, features Maroon 5’s Adam Levine and was produced by the well known hit maker Benny Blanco.

Having released a special edition of their 2008 debut album Any Port In a Storm back in 2010, The Dirty Heads are now preparing to drop their third single off the record, “Believe”, this September. The album has been powered by smash single “Lay Me Down”, which features Rome Ramirez of Sublime with Rome and peaked at #1 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart. The Dirty Heads are currently working on their sophomore album and plan to test some of the new songs while on the road.

“We’re really stoked to get back out on tour,” said vocalist Jared Watson in a press release about the upcoming tour. “We took the summer off to record the new album, so we’re excited to play new music. Plus, I think the mix of The Dirty Heads and Gym Class Heroes is going to make for a filthy show.”
