Guster have revealed plans for a spring tour that will including a homecoming show at the House of Blues in Boston. The band will play the Lansdowne Street club on Saturday, May 7. Tickets are now on sale through Live Nation for $35.50.

The Boston-bred band continues to tour in support of their latest album, Easy Wonderful, which was released last fall. The new album is the band’s sixth studio effort and first in four years. It also marks their first set of new material since all three founding members – Ryan Miller (guitar/vocals), Adam Gardner (guitar/vocals), Brian Rosenworcel (percussion) – became first-time fathers in 2008. Easy Wonderful, which features hit singles “Do You Love Me” and “Bad Bad World”, is now streaming in its entirety on Guster’s MySpace.

The album was initially recorded in New York, but then moved to multi-instrumentalist Joe Pasapia’s brand new Middletree Studios in Nashville – a move that was liberating for the band. “We’d been in this basement studio in New York City, cramped in this space with no windows that we jokingly called ‘The Dungeon’,” recalled Gardner in a press release. “Joe’s place is totally the opposite, this stunning open-concept studio that has a great vibe…There was an immense feeling of freedom the moment we left New York and started recording in Nashville.”
