Boston-bred rockers Guster will headline the Nantucket Music Festival, which will make its debut this summer at the oceanfront Tom Nevers Field. Scheduled to take place on August 2 and 3, the two-day festival boasts an eclectic lineup with Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, Steel Pulse and Donovan Frankenreiter among the highlights.

Also scheduled to visit the island for performances at Nantucket Music Festival are Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real and Freddy Clarke. The festival will also host an array of regional and homegrown talent. Chadwick Stokes of Dispatch and State Radio will perform, as will fellow Massachusetts-bred standouts Ben Taylor, Ayla Brown and Entrain. Rounding out the lineup wil be several Nantucket favorites including SoNar, ECliff and the Swingdogs, Earth Got the Blues and You Scream I Scream.

“In addition to the national acts we have, we felt it was really important to make sure our local bands were well represented,” explained the festival’s co-executive director Cynthia Dareshori in a press release. “We’re looking forward to showcasing some of the top-notch talent that Nantucket has to offer at our inaugural festival.”

The daytime, open-air performances will take place both days from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The complete lineup for each day is available below.

Tickets for the festival are now on sale through Ticketfly. Attendees can purchase a two-day general admission pass for $275 or single-day tickets for $150. Two-day VIP passes are available for $975 or $500 for single day. Children under the age of 12 will be admitted for free.

In the evenings, intimate performances requiring separate tickets will take place under a tent. Bruce Hornsby will headline the Sunday evening performance with George Young and Coq Au Vin. Saturday’s performance will feature a yet-to-be-announced headliner, alongside the Chuck Colley Band Harrison Roach. Tickets for each of the dinner performances are available for $500 for regular seating or $750 for premium seating. Net proceeds from the festival will benefit the Nantucket Community Music Center through the non-profit Celebrate Music Foundation, Inc.

Along with all the music, the Nantucket Music Festival will host a variety of artisans, as well as food and beverage options from local vendors and restaurants.
