Grizzly Bear reveal plans for new album, tour

Grizzly Bear will return to the road this fall in support of a brand new album, Shields. The indie rockers will hit Boston for a show at the Orpheum Theatre on Saturday, September 22. Tickets for the show are available through Ticketmaster for $33.50.Ticketmaster.

Shields, the band’s fourths studio effort, will be released via Warp Records on September 18. The album marks the first studio effort in three years for the Brooklyn-based band. The new album follows 2009’s Veckatimest, which garnered high praise and served as the band’s commercial breakthrough. Fans can get a taste of Shields with lead single “Sleeping Ute”, which is streaming below.

In March, Grizzly Bear singer-songwriter and guitarist Daniel Rossen released his first solo EP, Silent Hour/Golden Mile.
