Greg Lake has announced plans for his “Songs of a Lifetime” tour, which will make its way through North America this spring. The Englishman will visit Massachusetts for a pair of shows in Boston and New Bedford.

Lake will first perform at the Wilbur Theatre in Boston on Sunday, April 15. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $37.50 to $65, are now on sale through Ticketmaster. He’ll then make his way to New Bedford for a performance at the Zeiteron Theatre on Tuesday, April 17. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $34 to $45, are now on sale through the venue’s box office and website. Fans can purchase additional VIP packages, which include a post-show reception with the singer, through Lake’s official website.

The upcoming tour serves will give fans the opportunity to hear songs from Lake’s time with Emerson, Lake & Palmer and King Crimson in a storyteller format with a question and answer session. The unique format allows for a different and personal show every night, featuring stories of Lake’s encounters with greats such as Jimi Hendrix and Elvis along with other highlights of the artist’s career.

“The concept of performing an intimate and autobiographical show presents a huge challenge,” Lake said in a press release. “My experience of this format last tour was so invigorating it still gives me a thrill every time I think about it.

“The audience and I have created an intimate and unusual experience together,” he added. “However, at the end of the night the most important [thing] of all is that the audience always feels they have been entertained and enriched by the whole live experience.”

Lake also made headlines when he and his former bandmates Carl Palmer and Keith Emerson recently signed with Razor & Tie Records for a full re-issue campaign of Emerson, Lake & Palmer’s material. The campaign, which will begin later this year, will begin with the release of newly expanded and re-mastered editions of the trio’s first six albums.
