Graham Parker has reunited his original band the Rumour for their first album together in 31 years, Three Chords Good. The band will launch a subsequent tour in support of the album next month and make their way to Boston for a performance at the Wilbur Theatre on Thursday, December 6. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $29.50 to $49.50, are now on sale through Ticketmaster.

Three Chords Good, Graham Parker & The Rumour’s first album since 1980’s The Up Escalator, will hit stores on November 19. Produced by Dave Cook and Parker, the album was recorded in upstate New York and feature the classic Rumour line-up of Brinsley Schwarz and Martin Belmont on guitars, Steve Goulding on drums, Andrew Bodnar on bass and Bob Andrews on keyboards.

“After a hiatus of over 30 years, it was extraordinary to hear the Rumour backing my material again,” said Parker in a press release. “We’ve finally made an album of true musical collaboration that we’re all very proud of.”

Parker and the Rumour will also appear in the Judd Apatow’s upcoming film, “This Is 40”, which is scheduled for a December 21 release.

Following the show in Boston, Graham Parker & The Rumour will perform a free show at the Wolf Den at Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut on Saturday, December 8.
