Grace Potter announces return to Boston

, Staff

Less than a week after playing Boston’s House of Blues, Vermont’s Grace Potter & The Nocturnals have announced official plans to return to city this Summer. Tickets for the band’s August 20th show at the Bank of America Pavilion go on-sale Thursday, March 31 at 10am. Tickets are available for $20-$40 via Live Nation.

The band continues to tour behind their critically acclaimed, self-titled third album released in June 2010.
Produced by Mark Batson (Dr. Dre, Eminem, Jay-Z, Dave Matthews Band), who also co-wrote six of the 13
songs with Potter, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals introduces the Vermont-based band’s new five-piece
configuration, in which keyboard specialist Potter, lead guitarist Scott Tournet and drummer Matt Burr are
joined by bassist Catherine Popper (Ryan Adams & the Cardinals, Hem) and rhythm guitarist Benny Yurco,
who also plays with Tournet and Burr in the GPN side project Blues & Lasers.

The band recently played a sold-out show at the House of Blues, where Potter dropped the hint about their plans for the Pavilion. For a review of that show, go here.
