Gomez will release a brand new album, Whatever’s On Your Mind, later this month and follow it up with a tour of North America. The English rockers will make their way to Massachusetts for a show at the Paradise Rock Club on Tuesday, July 12. Tickets for the Boston gig are now on sale through Ticketmaster for $22. Indie-rockers Good Old War open the show.

Whatever’s On Your Mind
, the band’s seventh studio album and first self-produced effort since 2001’s In Our Gun, is scheduled to hit stores on June 21. Serving as the follow-up to their acclaimed 2009 release, A New Tide, the band (Ben Ottewell, Tom Gray, Paul “Blackie” Blackburn, Ian Ball and Olly Peacock) worked with longtime friend Sam Farrar (Phantom Planet) on the new album. With band members residing across two continents (in Los Angeles, Brooklyn and Brighton, England), Gomez began working on Whatever’s On Your Mind by sharing ideas through the Internet. Luke Steele (Empire of the Sun, Sleepy Jackson) and Stuart Bogie (Antibalas, TV on the Radio) also helped contribute to the new album.

Fans can get a taste of Whatever’s On Your Mind with lead single “Options”, which is streaming below along with the title track and “Just As Lost As You”.
