Godsmack’s Sully Erna plots solo tour
Sully Erna, best known as the lead singer of Godsmack, will be hitting the road this May in support of his debut solo album Avalon. He’ll rock a homecoming show at Boston’s Wilbur Theatre on Tuesday, May 17. Tickets for the show will go on sale Saturday at noon through Ticketmaster for $35.
The show will feature Erna as part of an eight-piece ensemble band. “I’m very excited to bring Avalon to the road,” said Erna in a press release. “It’s a trip down the rabbit hole into a world of beautiful scenery, world cultures, and amazing cinematic visuals that will leave you breathless at times.”
Released last September, Avalon is the combination of work that took Erna almost seven years to complete. The album reached #24 on the Billboard 200 and #9 on Billboard Rock Albums. Lisa Guyer provides guest vocals on several songs including lead single “Sinner’s Prayer”.
Erna will kick off his solo tour on Friday, May 13 at the Capitol Center for the Arts in Concord, New Hampshire. Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday at 11 a.m. through the venue’s box office and website for $29.50 and $39.50.
Later this summer, Erna will return to the road with Godmack as part this year’s “Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival” tour with Disturbed and Megadeth.
