After wrapping up a nationwide tour with Godsmack, frontman Sully Erna has announced plans for a series of solo performances this December. The Massachusetts native will deliver a pair of New England shows, including a homecoming performance at Boston’s Wilbur Theatre on Sunday, December 14. Tickets for the concert will go on sale Friday at noon through Ticketmaster.

Fans will also have the opportunity to buy an additional limited addition VIP package upgrade through Erna’s official website. The package, which will include early entre, access to a meet and greet with Erna, an exclusive lithograph signed by Erna and a VIP laminate, for $99 (not including the actual concert ticket).

Fans can expect Erna to deliver set featuring songs from throughout Godsmack’s catalogue and his 2010 solo debut, Avalon. He released Avalon Live, a live CD and DVD, in 2012. It captured his performance at the Wilbur Theater in November of 2011.

Earlier this summer, Godsmack released a new album called 1000hp. Co-produced by Erna and Dave Fortman, the band’s sixth studio effort and first since 2010’s The Oracle was recorded in Boston. The album’s title track serves as its lead single. Led by Mayor Walsh, the city of Boston honored the band by declaring August 6 “Godsmack Day” in the city.

Prior to the show in Boston, Erna will perform at the Gracie Theatre in Bangor, Maine on December 12.
