Massachusetts rockers Godsmack have announced a fall tour that will include a homecoming show at the Tsongas Center in Lowell on Friday, October 8. Tickets for the show are $38.50 and go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.Five Finger Death Punch and Drowning Pool will open the show.

Godsmack is touring in support of their new album, The Oracle, which was released in May. The new album, the band’s fifth studio effort and first since 2006’s IV, debuted #1 on the Billboard 200. Produced by Dave Fortman (Mudvayne, Evanescence), The Oracle has been powered by the success of its lead single, “Cryin’ Like A Bitch”.

In a press release, drummer Shannon Larkin described the sound of The Oracle by saying, “It’s a monster. The drums sound incredible, Sully Erna’s voice is on fire. It’s much more like the first record; much heavier, with simple, catchy guitar-driven riffs.”

Following the band’s show in Massachusetts, Godsmack will play the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut on Saturday, October 9 and the Waterfront Pavilion in Bangor, Maine on Sunday, October 10.
