He won’t be touring with the full cast this summer but Glee star Matthew Morrison will hit the road for a headlining tour of his own. He’ll make his way to Massachusetts for a performance at the Citi Wang Theatre on Wednesday, June 29. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $49.50 to $69.50, are now on sale through Telecharge. A variety of VIP packages are also available for purchase.

Morrison, the former Broadway star who plays teacher and glee club director Will Schuester on the hit Fox TV show, will be touring in support of his forthcoming self-titled debut album. Scheduled for release on May 10 via Mercury Records, the album features lead singe “Summer Rain” as well as duets with Sting, Elton John and Gwyneth Paltrow. Fans can expect to hear material from the album along with some Glee favorites at the show. For more on what to expect from the tour, check out the Morrison’s video preview below.

In conjunction with the VH1 Save The Music Foundation, the tour will offer regional Glee Clubs the chance to compete for the opening act performance slot. Any singing group with 3 to 30 members can enter the contest by submitting a video performance of Morrison’s “Summer Rain”. Entries can be submitted at www.matthewmorrison.com/gleeclubcontest.
