Girl Talk has revealed plans for a summertime tour that will bring the Pittsburgh native back to Boston for his biggest show in the Hub to date. Known for his incredible mashups and sampling, the deejay will perform at the Bank of America Pavilion on Friday, August 17. Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation for $20 and $24.50.

The upcoming tour continues Girl Talk’s promotion of 2010’s All Day. The album, his fifth, clocks in at 71 minutes and includes over 373 samples. All Day follows his previously acclaimed albums, 2008’s Feed the Animals and 2006’s Night Ripper.

In a recent interview with MTV News, Girl Talk discussed the evolution of sampling over the past few years. “In doing this I never knew what I do would take off in 2006,” he said. “The timing was just really right. When it first came out it was on that verge of being a problem, and sampling. And you know I think the hip-hop culture and their affliction for mixtapes has always been a thing, but the online takeover has been so big and significant. A lot of people like the mixtapes more than the record.”
