Galactic have revealed plans for a spring tour in support of their upcoming release, Carnivale Electricos. Joining the New Orleans favorites will be legendary reggae band Steel Pulse. The two powerhouses will visit Boston for a performance at the House of Blues on Sunday, February 26. Tickets for the concert are now on sale through Live Nation for $27.50 and $35. The Soul Rebels will open the show.

Carnivale Electricos, Galactic’s seventh studio effort and follow-up to 2010’s Ya-Kay-May, is scheduled to hit stores on February 21. The album features collaborations with guest artists Mystikal, Mannie Fresh, Al “Carnival Time” Johnson, Cyril & Ivan Neville, Moyseis Marques and more. Fans can get a taste of the new album with lead single “Hey Na Na” (featuring David Shaw and Maggie Koerner), which is streaming below. For the upcoming tour, Corey Glover of Living Colour and Corey Henry of the Rebirth Brass Band will join the group as special guest vocalists

Though Steel Pulse’s last album release was 2004’s African Holocaust, the English band has remained active on issues of social justice and charity. They released a single “Hold On [4 Haiti]” in 2010 with the purpose of raising money to improve health clinics in Haiti. Steel Pulse has continued its humanitarian efforts for the country since the earthquake. They traveled to Haiti in late January to continue their work. “We continue to thank our fans and friends for morally and financially supporting the Haitians who are still under pressure from that two year old tragedy,” the band said in a message to fans on their website.
