Fountains of Wayne map summer tour

Fountains of Wayne will kick off their summer tour in Massachusetts next month. The power-pop favorites will perform at Boston’s Paradise Rock Club on Friday, June 29. Tickets for the show are now on sale through Ticketmaster for $25. The Winterpills will open the show.

The veteran band will be touring in support of their latest album, Sky Full of Holes. The band’s fifth studio effort was released last summer and debuted at #37 on the Billboard 200. Recorded in the band’s hometown of New York City, Sky Full of Holes features 13 new songs written and produced by lead singer/guitarist Chris Collingwood and bassist Adam Schlesinger. The album was mixed by John Holbrook, who also worked on the band’s previous two efforts, 2007’s Traffic and Weather and 2003’s Welcome Interstate ManagersSky Full of Holes features singles “Someone’s Gonna Break Your Heart” and “Road Song”. Following the show in Boston, Massachusetts residents can also catch Fountains of Wayne on when they hit Wellfleet’s Beachcomber on Saturday, June 30. Tickets are available through the venue’s website for $25.
