After a 16-year absence, Christine McVie will be re-joining Fleetwood Mac bandmates Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks as they launch the “On With The Show” tour. The classic rock legends will hit Boston for a performance at the TD Garden on Friday, October 10. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $53 to $189.50, will go on sale Monday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.

Christine McVie has not toured with Fleetwood Mac since 1998’s “The Dance” tour. During the band’s tour last year, the vocalist/keyboardist joined the group on stage during their show at London’s O2 Arena to perform their classic “Don’t Stop”.

“It was so comfortable being back onstage with them, as if no time had passed, and then we all started talking and it feels like the time is right. I’m really happy,” she said in a press release.

“As far as we’re concerned, she’s never really left. We are overjoyed to have Christine back on stage with us,” said the other members of Fleetwood Mac in a joint statement.

Along with the show in Boston, Fleetwood Mac wil perform at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut on Saturday, November 1.

Fleetwood Mac’s last offering of all new material was 2003’s Say You Will, which was their first since 1970’s Kiln House to not include tracks written by Christine McVie.
