Fleet Foxes announce new album, tour

Fleet Foxes have announced plans for the release of their highly anticipated second full-length album, Helplessness Blues, and a subsequent North American tour. The band will make their way to Massachusetts for a show at the Orpheum Theatre in Boston on Tuesday, May 17. Tickets will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation for $35.

On May 3, Seattle’s Fleet Foxes will release Helplessness Blues, the much-anticipated follow up to their 2008 self-titled debut. Recorded over the course of a year, the new album was co-produced by Fleet Foxes and Phil Ek. Fans can get a taste of the new material with the title track, which is streaming below.

Led by vocalist/guitarist Robin Pecknold, Fleet Foxes are comprised of Skyler Skjelset (lead guitar, mandolin), Christian Wargo (bass, guitar, vocals), Casey Wescott (keyboards, vocals), Josh Tillman (drums, vocals) and brand new member Morgan Henderson (multi-instrumentalist).
