Fiona Apple and Blake Mills have announced plans to join forces for a collaborative tour this fall. The duo will bring their “Anything We Want” tour to Boston for a night at the Citi Emerson Colonial Theatre on Wednesday, October 23. Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through the venue’s box office and website for $59.

While the dates for the run have already been finalized, according to a press release announcing the tour, the show itself is still in development. Fans can expect the Apple and Mills to perform songs from their respective catalogues along with some original yet to be released material.

“We know it’ll be something special, and we aren’t being coy here — it’s just that we have about 26% of an idea of what the fuck we will be playing for you,” explained Apple and Mills in a press release. “But here is something true: the uncertainty excites us.”

Apple’s last studio release was 2012’s The Idler Wheel…, which marked her first album since 2005’s Extraordinary Machine. Mills served as both Apple’s guitarist and opening act in the subsequent tour to support the release.

Mills is currently working on his second album, a still untitled full-length album set for release in early 2014.
