Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump to play Rhode Island

, Staff

After rocking a pair of intimate solo gigs at Boston’s Great Scott, Patrick Stump has revealed plans to return to New England in August as part of a month-long tour. The frontman for emo rockers Fall Out Boy will play The Met in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on Saturday, August 13. Tickets for the show are now on sale through etix for $18. Wynter Gordon and John West will open the show.

In February, Stump released his debut solo EP, Truant Wave. The EP is a prelude to his forthcoming full-length release, Soul Punk, and is comprised of songs he “felt strongly about but didn’t have place for within the narrative of Soul Punk“. No release date for Soul Punk has been announced, though Stump has released a pair of new tracks over the past few months. In May, he released “Explode” and last month, released a remix of “This City” with Lupe Fiasco.

Fall Out Boy has been on indefinite hiatus since November of 2009.
