Evanescence & Chevelle to lead Carnival of Madness
Evanescence and Chevelle will lead this summer’s edition of the “Carnival of Madness tour”. The 3rd annual outing, which will also feature recently Halestorm, Cavo and New Medicine, will make its way to Boston for a night at the Bank of America Pavilion on Monday, August 6. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $25 to $50, will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation.
“We’re really looking forward to the Carnival of Madness tour this summer,” declared Evanescence frontwoman Amy Lee in a press release. “We love Chevelle and haven’t hit the road together in years, and I’m really stoked to finally be playing some shows with Halestorm. Naturally I’m a fan of strong women in music and Lzzy’s voice is spectacular.”
The tour (sans Halestorm) will also stop in Connecticut for a performance at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville on Thursday, August 30. Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.
Evanescence will be promoting their self-titled third studio album. Released last October, Evanescence debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 and marks the band’s first release in five years. Recorded in Nashville, the 12 track album was produced by Grammy Award winning producer Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Alice in Chains). The album features singles “What You Want” and “Lost in Paradise”.
Chevelle, who performed on the Carnival’s inaugural tour in 2010 alongside Shinedown and Puddle of Mudd, will be touring in support of Hats Off to The Bull.The band’s sixth studio album debuted at #20 on the Billboard 200 after its release last December. Recorded in Los Angeles with producer Joe Barresi (Queens of the Stone Age, Coheed and Cambria), the album has been powered by lead single “Face to the Floor”, which reached #1 on Billboard’s Active Rock chart.
Halestorm will be touring in support of their recently released sophomore album The Strange Case of.., while Cavo will be promoting their brand new album Thick as Thieves. New Medicine continue to back their 2010 debut Race You to the Bottom.
