Emeli Sande has announced plans for a stateside tour this summer as she continues to promote her debut album Our Version of Events. The Scottish singer-songwriter will return to Boston for a show at the House of Blues on Friday, August 30. Tickets for the show, which will also feature openers Rudimental, will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation for $27.

Released stateside in June of 2012, Our Version of Events has been powered in America by the success of smash single “Next to Me” (video is streaming below). In her native U.K., the album was the biggest selling album of 2012 behind additional singles “Heaven” and “Daddy”. Earlier this month, it was announced that the Sande achieved the record of spending the most consecutive weeks in the UK’s Official Albums Chart Top 10 of any debut album with a staggering 63 weeks. The record was previously held by The Beatles, who held the record for almost 50 years with Please Please Me.

Most recently, Sande and the Bryan Ferry Orchestra teamed up for a cover of Beyonce’s “Crazy In Love” for The Great Gatsby Soundtrack.
