Boston Mayor-elect Martin J. Walsh has revealed the entertainment plans for his upcoming inauguration. The event, which will take place at the Hynes Convention Center on Monday, January 6, will feature performances from Dropkick Murphys and the Boston Pops Swing Orchestra.

The event will also include performances from Blue Man Group, Ellis Hall, The Floor Lords, Zumix, Calypso Hurricane, Strictly Sinatra, Mark Morris and the Cat Tunes, Steve Sweeney, Lenny Clarke, and DJ Master Millions. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster for $35.

Several members of the Dropkick Murphys openly supported Walsh’s mayoral campaign. The band appeared in a television ad commissioned by an outside group campaigning on Walsh’s behalf, changing the lyrics of “Shipping Up to Boston” with “Marty Walsh for Boston” (streaming below). The band also performed at a fundraising concert as well as his victory party.
