The Dropkick Murphys will prep for their run of four consecutive Massachusetts shows in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day by playing the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut on Sunday, March 13. Tickets for the show, which will also feature tourmates Against Me!, are now on sale through Ticketmaster for $24.50.

The Boston-based Irish punk rockers are currently busy working in the studio writing new material for an album which they plan to release in conjunction with the St Patrick’s Day tour. A formal announcement regarding the release of the new album is forthcoming. Last year, the band released Live on Lansdowne, Boston MA. The album is comprised of 20 fan favorites recorded at the band’s seven shows at Boston’s House of Blues in March of 2009.The band’s last studio effort was 2007’s The Meanest Of Times.

Florida-based punk rockers Against Me! released their fifth studio album, White Crosses, earlier this summer. Produced by Butch Vig, the new album follows their highly acclaimed 2007 release, New Wave. It is also the first Against Me! album to feature George Rebelo, former drummer of Hot Water Music, following the departure of previous drummer Warren Oakes.
