Drive-By Truckers will return to the road this fall for another leg of touring in support of their latest release, Go-Go Boots. The alt-country/southern rockers will hit Boston’s House of Blues on Thursday, November 17. Tickets for the show, which will also feature special guest opener J Mascis, are now on sale through Live Nation for $25.

Go-Go Boots, the band’s ninth studio effort, was released in February. It was produced by their longtime collaborator David Barbe and recorded during the same sessions for the band’s previous album, 2010’s The Big To-Do. A video of the band performing “Everybody NeedsĀ  Love” on CBS’ “Late Show with David Letterman” is streaming below.

In August, New West Records released a Drive-By Truckers’ greatest hits compilation entitled, Ugly Buildings, Whores, and Politicians. This album contains songs from the band’s first seven albums over the years 1998-2009. It was produced and mixed by Barbe.

In a recent interview with Madison.com, frontman Paterson Hood said that band will most likely take an extended rest after they complete this tour. “I think we desperately need to on several levels,” he said before adding, “I feel really strongly about the next record, I’m just not ready to make it yet.”
