Dispatch will now headline the inaugural edition of the Nantucket Music Festival next month. The Massachusetts-bred rockers will close out day one of the two-day island festival, which will take place at the oceanfront Tom Nevers Field on Saturday, August 2 and Sunday, August 3.

Frontman Chadwick Stokes had originally been scheduled to perform a solo set at the festival, but will now pull double-duty by joining bandmates Pete Francis and Brad Corrigan for a full headlining set. Disptach’s last offering of all new material was 2012’s Circles Around The Sun. Released in August of 2012, it followed their triumphant reunion in 2011 after a seven-year hiatus. The band’s fifth studio effort and first since 2000’s Who Are We Living For? was was produced by Peter Katis (Interpol, The National). Last summer, Dispatched released a live album called Ain’t No Trip to Cleveland Vol. 1, which featured selections from performances since their reunion.

Joining Dispatch as day one highlights for the Nantucket Music Festival will be Steel Pulse, Donavon Frankenreiter and Ben Taylor. Freddy Clarke, ECliff & The Swing Dogs and Earth Got the Blues will also perform. Guster and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros will lead day two alongside Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, Ayla Brown, Entrain, You Scream I Scream and Sonar.

The daytime, open-air performances will take place both days from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The complete lineup for each day is available below.

Along with the addition of Dispatch, festival organizers have announced the limited release of discount tickets. Thanks to a generous underwriter, a limited amount of general admission single-day tickets are available through Ticketfly for $85. Fans on the island can purchase discounted single-day tickets in person for $75 at Jetties Beach or Nantucket Sewing and Design above the Hub at 1 Federal Street. The single-day tickets are regularly priced at $150, while a two-day pass has been on sale for $275. Two-day VIP passes are available for $975 or $500 for single day. Children under the age of 12 will be admitted for free.

In the evenings, intimate performances requiring separate tickets will take place under a tent. Bruce Hornsby will headline the Sunday evening performance with George Young and Coq Au Vin. Saturday‚Äôs performance will feature an “All-Star Jam” with yet-to-be announced artists, alongside the Chuck Colley Band Harrison Roach. Tickets for each of the dinner performances are available for $500 for regular seating or $750 for premium seating. Net proceeds from the festival will benefit the Nantucket Community Music Center through the non-profit Celebrate Music Foundation, Inc.

Along with all the music, the Nantucket Music Festival will host a variety of artisans, as well as food and beverage options from local vendors and restaurants.
