Diana Krall will make her way to Massachusetts next month as she tours in support of her new album, Glad Rag Doll. The veteran jazz favorite will perform at the Hanover Theatre in Worcester on Wednesday, April 17. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $69 to $110, are on sale through the venue’s box office and website.

Glad Rag Doll, Krall’s tenth studio effort and follow-up to 2009’s Quiet Nights, debuted at #6 on the Billboard 200 and #1 on Billboard’s Jazz Albums chart after its release in October. Produced by T-Bone Burnett (Elvis Costello, John Mellencamp), the album is mainly comprised of jazz classics from the 1920’s and 1930’s inspired by her father’s collection of 78-rpm records.

“It’s 1920’s music for the 21st Century,” Krall said of the album in a press release. Burnett added, “People might say this is all about old-fashioned music but it’s very, very new-fashioned music.”
