Demi Lovato has announced plans for a summer tour in support of her latest album Unbroken. The pop star will visit Boston for a concert at the Bank of America Pavilion on Thursday, July 5. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $25 to $70, will go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation. Lovato will be joined by special guests Hot Chelle Rae on the summer tour.

Unbroken, Lovato’s third studio album and follow-up to 2009’s Here We Go Again, debuted at #4 on the Billboard 200 after its release last September. Its lead single “Skyscraper” was recently certified platinum, while its second single “Give Your Heart a Break” has reached over 200,000 downloads. Lovato worked with a variety of popular producers and writers on the album, including Timbaland, Ryan Tedder, Dreamlab, Rock Mafia and Toby Gad. Unbroken features guest performances from Missy Elliot, Dev and Jason Derulo.

Lovato was forced to suspend the writing and recording process in 2010 to enter rehabilitation, and resumed last year when her treatment ended. The singer spoke candidly about private moments during her public recovery in the MTV documentary special “Demi Lovato: Stay Strong”.

“I have a really great support system around me and they keep a good head on my shoulders and help me,” said Lovato in a recent interview with Teen Vogue. “I feel like I’m in secure hands and I just stay focused and work towards my recovery every day. The connection with my fans is so incredible, I can’t even explain it.”

Prior to the show in Boston, Lovato will perform at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut on Saturday, June 30. Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster for $34.50.

Hot Chelle Rae continues to tour in support of their latest album, 2011’s Whatever. The Nashville-based pop rocker’s sophomore release has been powered by smash single “Tonight Tonight”.
