Delta Spirit have announced plans fora fall tour in support of their forthcoming album, Into the Wide. The San Diego-bred rockers will hit Boston for a performance at the Paradise Rock Club on Tuesday, October 7. Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday at noon through Ticketmaster for $20.

Into the Wide, Delta Spirit’s fourth full-length studio effort and follow-up to their 2012 self-titled album, will hit stores on September 9. The band worked on the album for more than a year in their new hometown of Brooklyn, writing new material in a windowless studio they rebuilt after Hurricane Sandy. “That sense of feeling trapped in our studio and in the city definitely gave the album more of a weight than our previous records and played a big part in this being our moodiest recording yet,” said multi-instrumentalist Kelly Winrich in a press release.

When it came time to record, the band relocated to Maze Studios in Atlanta and teamed up with producer Ben Allen (Animal Collective, Deerhunter) to breathe new life into the material. Each song was recorded live, an important move for a band that prides itself on its live performances.

“We just want the songs to be as epic and meaningful as possible when we play them in front of people, which is the be-all and end-all for us as a band,” declared lead singer and guitarist Matt Vasquez in a press release.
