Deftones have revealed plans for a fall tour in support of their forthcoming album, Koi No Yokan. The California-based hard rockers will hit Boston for a show at the House of Blues on Monday, October 29. Tickets for the show are now on sale through Live Nation for $32.50 and $42.50. Scars On Broadway will open the show.

Koi No Yokan, Deftone’s seventh studio effort and follow-up to 2010’s Diamond Eyes, will hit stores on November 13.Produced by Nick Raskulinecz (Alice In Chains, Foo Fighters, Rush), the album was recorded in Los Angeles.

“We were coming out of a tough time, obviously, and our goal was to kind of rebuild what we created over all the years,” said frontman Chino Moreno in a recent interview with Noisecreep. “I felt like we had to prove ourselves. We’d taken so much time between records, had some inner turmoil and our records were starting to get pieced together versus really being created together, so for us it was a chance to get back to basics. We didn’t have an idea of what sort of style we wanted. We just came in fired up and motivated to do something great. It was all very positive. We had more songs than ever, tons of ideas.”

Deftones bassist and founding members Chi Cheng remains in a “minimally conscious” state since a November 2008 car accident. Sergio Vega has since filled in for the band.

Earlier this summer, Deftones opened for System of a Down on the band’s summer reunion tour which included a stop at the Comcast Center in Mansfield.
