Indie rockers Deerhunter have announced plans for a stop at the Royale Nightclub in Boston. Advance tickets for the Saturday, October 16 show are $18 and are available now through LiveNation. Tickets the day of the show, if available, will be $20.

Deerhunter’s fourth studio album, Halcyon Digest, was released on September 28 and features the single, “Revival”. The album, the band’s first in two years, was produced by Ben Allen, who has worked with Animal Collective, and has a sound that ZME Music calls, “moody, hazy and ultimately memorable”.

The Georgia based quartet has also has earned a reputation for outrageous live shows. Lead singer Bradford Cox has performed in costume and with fake blood smeared over his face and hands. When asked about the wearing a sundress on stage, Cox was quoted as saying, “I don’t like the idea of going around the stage in just jeans and a t-shirt. It seems anticlimactic.” Sounds like fans at Royale are in for quite the show!

Opening in support of Deerhunter will be Real Estate and Casino vs. Japan.
