The Dedham Music & Art Festival will bring some of the area’s best local bands to the Dedham Community House field for a free all-day festival. Now in its third year, the festival will fuse some of the best homegrown talent with other local Boston bands for what is sure to be a great day of music.

Dedham’s Magic Magic, who will perform at the Nateva Music and Camping Festival in Norther Maine later this summer, will headline Saturday’s festival. Hallelujah the Hills led by Dedham native Ryan Walsh was just added to the bill this week and will make their first live performance in months after adding a brand new drummer to the group (Walsh was originally scheduled to perform as a solo act). Also highlighting the bill are Mission Hill, who will open for Bon Jovi and Kid Rock at Gillette Stadium later this summer, and 2009 BMS Battle of the Bands winners Shadwell. Magic Magic, Mission Hill and Shadwell were all also named to BMS’ Top Ten Boston Bands to Watch in 2010 list.
