David Gray to launch stateside tour in Boston

After delivering an intimate performance at the Citi Emerson Colonial Theatre earlier this year, David Gray has revealed plans for a return visit to Boston this summer. In support of his forthcoming album Mutineers, the British singer-songwriter will kick off her summer stateside tour with a performance at the more expansive Blue Hills Bank Pavilion on Friday, August 1. Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation for $49.50 and $59.50. Every ticket purchased will include a complimentary download of the new album.

Mutineers, Gray’s tenth studio effort and follow-up to 2010’s Foundling, will be released on June 17. The album was recorded at The Church Studios in London and produced by Andy Barlow. The video for lead single “Back In The World”, which is streaming below. Fans who pre-order the album through iTunes will receive the song instantly for free along with two other songs: “Beautiful Agony” and “Gulls”.

“I know I’ve done something here that has an authority that is inspiring me and I don’t have to worry about my past or any of that,” said Gray of the new album in press release. “The lovely thing about this is we’ve had the time to experiment, and it’s been wonderful.”
