The two rock bands, who began their excursion last fall, will make their way to Boston for a night at the Bank of America Pavilion on Friday, July 12. Tickets for the concert, which range in price from $29.50 to $64.50, will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation. Opening the show will be special guests Halestorm.

Daughtry continues to tour in support of 2011’s Break The Spell. The band’s third studio effort and follow-up to 2009’s Leave This Town was recorded in Los Angeles with producer Howard Benson (Three Days Grace, Kelly Clarkson), who the band worked with on their previous two albums. Break The Spell features singles “Crawling Back to You”, “Outta My Head” and “Start of Something Good”.

3 Doors Down released their first ever Greatest Hits package last year. The collection features nine number-one hits that have been remixed and re-mastered, alongside three new songs, “One Light”, “There’s a Life” and “Goodbyes”. The band’s last studio release was 2011’s Time of My Life.

This past weekend, 3 Doors Down bassist Robert Todd Harrell was charged with vehicular homicide by intoxication after a crash claimed the life of another motorist in Tennessee. The fatal accident that killed 47-year-old Paul Howard Shoulders Jr. occurred late Friday night. Harrell remained jailed Monday in lieu of $100,000 bond. He is facing multiple charges, including vehicular homicide by intoxication, violation of the implied consent law, contraband, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance. The band has cancelled their upcoming tour dates and through a statement, said, “Our hearts and prayers go out to his family and friends at this difficult time.”

Halestorm continue to tour in support The Strange Case Of…, the band’s 2012 sophomore release.

In February, Daughtry and 3 Doors Down performed at the DCU Center in Worcester and the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.
