Daniel Lanois, best known as an acclaimed and longtime producer for U2 and Bob Dylan, will hit the road later this month with his new band Black Dub. The group will kick off their tour in Boston at the Paradise Rock Club on Monday, November 15. Tickets for the 18+ show are now on sale through Ticketmaster for $16.50.

Black Dub is touring in support of their self-titled debut album, which hit stores yesterday. The album is said to be a fusion of rock, blues, dub, reggae and soul influences. A handful of songs are streaming on the band’s MySpace and the video for the album’s lead single “I Believe In You” is available below.

The band features Lanois on guitar, New Orleans virtuoso Brian Blade, a seasoned musician who has performed with jazz titans such as Wayne Shorter and Herbie Hancock, on drums, Belgian born vocalist Trixie Whitley, the 22-year-old daughter of the late, great Texas bluesman, Chris Whitley, and rounding out the quartet is famed Louisiana bass player Daryl Johnson.
