Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley and Stephen “Ragga” Marley will join forces this summer for a co-headlining summer tour. Joined by The Ghetto Youths Crew, the sons of reggae icon Bob Marley will make their way to Massachusetts for a performance at the House of Blues in Boston on Thursday, August 29. Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation for $35 and $55.

Damian Marley, also known around the world as “Junior Gong” and more recently as “Gongzilla”, is currently in the studio working on his fourth solo studio album and first since 2005’s Welcome to Jamrock. In recent years, he has focused more on collaborative releases, including his 2010 joint release with rapper Nas called Distant Relatives and joining forces with Mick Jagger, Joss Stone, Dave Stewart and A. R. Rahman to form the supergroup SuperHeavy, who released a self-titled album in 2011. Last year, Marley teamed up with dubstep favorite Skrillex for the single “Make It Bun Dem”. Damian is the youngest son of Bob Marley and Cindy Breakspeare.

In anticipation of the tour, Stephen Marley has released “Bongo Nyah”, a new single featuring Damian Marley and Spragga Benz. Later this year, he plans to release a follow-up to his 2011 Grammy Award winning album Revelation Part 1: The Root of Life entitled, Revelation Part 2: The Fruit of Life. According to a press release, the new albumĀ  will lean towards more of what Marley describes as an “eclectic feel”. Stephen is the second son of Bob and Rita Marley.
