Neil Finn has revealed plans for a tour of North America in support of a brand new album set for release in February. The Crowded House frontman will bring his solo tour to Massachusetts for a stop at the Shubert Theatre in Boston on Monday, April 7. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $39.50 to $65, are now on sale through Telecharge.

Dizzy Heights, Finn’s third solo studio effort and first in over a decade, will be released on February 10. The 11-track album was recorded between Finn’s Auckland studio, Roundhead, and Tarbox Road, the upstate New York studio of co-producer Dave Fridmann (The Flaming Lips, Tame Impala). Fans can get a taste of the new material with “Dive Bomber” (streaming below) and “Flying In The Face of Love”, which are now available as free downloads with pre-orders for Dizzy Heights through Finn’s website.

Of his latest effort, Finn noted in a press release, “I didn’t want to make it a solo record in a stripped back singer-songwriter sort of way… I had a feeling Dave would be good at adding some odd shapes to the music, which I always welcome – making things a little more expansive. He is good at subverting things, and making things sound a bit messed up and not as obvious, rather than being too tasteful, which is always a temptation.”

Finn’s upcoming tour will also include a stop in Connecticut with a concert scheduled for April 10 at the Shubert Theater in New Haven.
