Courtney Love to lead Hole to the House of Blues

Courtney Love is back with a new-look Hole and ready to hit the road for the band’s first tour in over a decade. Love and company will make their way Boston’s House of Blues for a show on Wednesday, June 23. Tickets are priced at $35 and $50 and go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation.

Hole will be supporting their forthcoming release Nobody’s Daughter. The album, Love’s fourth album with Hole and fifth overall, will drop in stores on April 27. Hole’s last studio effort, the Grammy-nominated Celebrity Skin, was released in 1998. Nobody’s Daughter’s first single, “Skinny Little Bitch”, is already streaming on their official MySpace page and available for digital sale.

Love allegedly did much of her writing for new album while sentenced to a six-month program in a lockdown rehabilitation center, for violating legal drug probation. Struggling to retain her musical faculty during rehab, she calls Nobody’s Daughter “a very personal album”, according to her website. The new-look Hole lacks any original Hole members including co-founder Eric Erlandson. Love is now backed by Micko Larkin, Shawn Dailey and Stu Fisher to form the revamped band.
