Court Yards Hounds, Steven Page added to LSMS

The Lowell Summer Music Series continues to take shape as organizers have revealed another trio of shows with the Court Yard Hounds, Steven Page and The Fab Faux all slated to play Boarding House Park this year. Tickets for each of the shows are now on sale through the concert series’ official website.

The Court Yard Hounds, featuring sisters Emily Robison and Martie Maguire of the Dixie Chicks, will play the Lowell Summer Music Series on Friday, July 15. The country-folk duo are touring in support of their self-titled debut album, which debuted at #7 on the Billboard 200 after its release last May. Robison delivers lead vocals on most of the album, which was recorded in Maguire’s home studio in Austin and co-produced with Jim Scott (who they worked with on the Dixie Chicks’ 2006 album Taking the Long Way). Tickets for the show are $26 in advance or $30 on the day of the concert.

The Fab Faux, a Beatles tribute band founded and led by Jimmy Vivino (band leader of the Conan O’Brien’s Basic Cable Band and Will Lee (of the Paul Schaffer CBS Orchestra from the David Letterman Show), will rock the classics in Lowell on Saturday, July 9. With a commitment to the accurate reproduction of The Beatles’ repertoire, The Fab Faux have received wide acclaim for their recreations of the songs with emphasis on the later works never performed live by the Beatles. Tickets for the show are $35 in advance or $40 on the day of the concert.

Steven Page, former lead singer of the Barenaked Ladies, will perform at Boarding House Park on Saturday, August 27. Page is touring in support of his latest solo release, Page One. Released last October, the album is his third full-length release outside of Barenaked Ladies and first since leaving the band in February 2009. Tickets for the show are $26 in advance or $30 on the day of the concert.

As previously reported, Chris Isaak (June 18), the Indigo Girls (June 23 and 24), Jonny Lang (July 23), Bela Fleck and The Flecktones (July 8), moe. (July 22), the Punch Brothers (August 5), Toad the Wet Sprocket (August 6), Rickie Lee Jones (August 12), Red Horse (August 13), Mavis Staples (August 19), Great Big Sea (August 26), Richard Thompson (September 2) and Matisyahu (September 3) will all perform at the Lowell Summer Music Series this year.
