Conor Oberst of Bright Eyes fame has reunited with the Desaparecidos for a winter tour. After a tour of the United Kingdom and Ireland, the Omaha, Nebraska-based band will return to the United States and make their way to Massachusetts for a show at Boston’s Paradise Rock Club on Sunday, February 24. Tickets for the show are now on sale through Ticketmaster for $25.

Desaparecidos, who originally formed in 2001, reunited earlier this year for their first tour since 2002 in support of their only album, Read Music/Speak Spanish. Earlier this summer, the band released a pair of new songs: “MariKKKopa” (streaming below) and “Backsell”.

“This past spring we were able to get together, and even though we had no expectations except to have some fun, we ended up writing new material, recording and playing a small show in Omaha,” explained Oberst in an interview with the Huffington Post earlier this year. “We also decided to book more shows for later in the year. It’s been very casual and enjoyable thus far.”

Desaparecidos is comprised of Oberst (vocals, guitar) Landon Hedges (bass guitar, vocals), Matt Baum (drums), Denver Dalley – (guitar) and Ian McElroy (keyboards).
