Conor Oberst, founder of the indie rock favorites Bright Eyes, has added a handful of dates to his upcoming solo tour. Fans in Massachusetts can now see Oberst perform an intimate show at Boston’s Converse Hall on Thursday, December 6. Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster for $32 and $35.

Despite having no new album to promote, 2012 has become a busy year for Oberst. Along with the solo dates, the singer will reunite for a highly anticipated tour with the original line-up of his own side project band, Desaparecidos. The group have not performed a series of shows together since 2002, when they released their only full-length album, Read Music/Speak Spanish. Desaparecidos is comprised of Landon Hedges, Matt Baum, Denver Dalley, Ian McElroy and Oberst.

Oberst last solo studio effort was 2009’s Outer South. Last year, he released The People’s Key as a member of Bright Eyes.
