With two new releases in six months, Coheed and Cambria have announced plans to hit the road in 2013. The band will make their way to Massachusetts for a show at Boston’s House of Blues on Thursday, March 14. Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday at noon through Live Nation for $27 and $39.50. Between the Buried and Me will provide support, while Russian Circles will open the show.

Coheed and Cambria will be touring in support of their new two-part project called The Afterman. The first album, The Afterman: Ascension, was released last month, while the second, The Afterman: Descension, is scheduled to hit stores on February 5. The new release, which was produced by Michael Birnbaum and Chris Bittner, marks the band’s first studio album since 2010’s Year of the Black Rainbow.

As with the band’s prior releases, the two new albums are set in “The Amory Wars” universe concept, a science fiction concept which was written into a comic book and recently optioned for a film by Mark Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson of Leverage Productions.

“We haven’t properly toured on a new album in what will be nearly three years, so coming off the heels of these two albums means we’ll have a wide breadth of new material to choose from,” said frontman Claudio Sanchez in a press release.
