Clutch will close out 2011 with a brief tour of the Northeast. The Maryland-based hard rockers will make their way to Massachusetts for a show at Boston’s House of Blues on Tuesday, December 27. Tickets for the show are now on sale through Ticketmaster for $25 and $35. Opening the show will be Corrosion of Conformity and Kyng.

The tour continues the band’s support of their 2009 album, Strange Cousins from the West. The band’s ninth studio effort features lead single “50,000 Unstoppable Watts”. Strange Cousins from the West is the band’s first full-length album of new material to be released via the band’s own label, Weathermaker Music.

“This album is more stripped-down and riff-oriented,” said lead singer Neil Fallon in a press release. “The songs really cut to the chase—getting to the jump and getting out. There was an economy of writing, and the instrumentation stands out.”
