Chris Cornell has revealed plans for an intimate solo acoustic tour this fall. The Soundgarden and Audioslave frontman will open up his songbook and go unplugged for a night at the Shubert Theatre in Boston on Friday, November 15. Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Telecharge for $64.50. American/Sri Lankan folk artist Bhi Bhiman will open the show.

The upcoming tour will repeat Cornell’s first “Songbook”, which took place in 2011 and produced the live album Songbook. Fans can expect a setlist that features selections from his work with Soundgarden, Audioslave, Temple of the Dog and solo efforts, as well as a few surprise covers. Cornell’s most recent studio work was with Soundgarden, who last year released their first new studio album in over 16 years, King Animal.

Along with the show in Boston, Cornell will perform a second Massachusetts show when he performs at the Calvin Theatre in Northampton on November 17. Other New England dates include the Veterans Memorial Auditorium in Providence, Rhode Island on November 19 and the Shubert Theater in New Haven, Connecticut on November 20.

This year also marks the launch of The Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation, which gives aid to the most vulnerable children. One dollar of every ticket sold on the tour will be donated to the Foundation, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit ChildHaven’s Creative Music Therapy Program Expansion.
