Cher will return to the road in 2014 for a 49-city tour of North America. The veteran singer will perform two concerts in New England, including Boston’s TD Garden on Wednesday, April 9. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $28 to $158.50, will go on sale Friday at noon through Ticketmaster.

The “Dressed To Kill” tour will be in support of Cher’s brand new album, Closer to the Truth. Released last month, the singer’s 25th studio effort marked her first release in over a decade after 2001’s Living Proof. It debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200, becoming her highest-charting solo album. Recorded in California and England, she collaborated with several producers including Mark Taylor, Paul Oakenfold, Billy Mann and Timbaland. Pink contributes vocals to “I Walk Alone”, while Jake Shears of the Scissor Sisters provides guest vocals on “Take It Like A Man”. Closer to the Truth‘s leading single “Woman’s World” is streaming below.

Prior to the show in Boston, Cher will perform at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut on Saturday, April 5.

Cher’s previous tour “The Farewell” tour later dubbed “The Never Can Say Goodbye” tour took place from 2002 to 2005. It was one of the most successful tours ever by a solo artist and played for a record-breaking 325 dates and seen by over 5.5 million people.
