Celtic Thunder will hit Massachusetts this fall as part of their “Heritage” tour. The Irish group will visit Boston’s Citi Wang Theatre on Friday, September 23. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $48 to $98, are now on sale through Telecharge.

The tour is support of their most recent Public Television Special of the same name. Celtic Thunder will also be promoting their forthcoming album, Storm. The follow-up to Heritage is scheduled for release on September 15. Storm tells the story of “a turbulent, raucous stand off between the darkness of gypsies, and the resolution of the settlers both fighting for the same piece of land,” according to the group’s website. As with prior Celtic Thunder releases, the majority of Storm’s songs were composed by acclaimed Irish composer Phil Coulter, who boasts 23 platinum and 39 gold discs.

The fall tour will not feature the group’s youngest member, 18-year old Damian McGinty, who was named the winner of Oxygen’s “The Glee Project” last week. As the winner, McGinty will appear in seven episodes in season three of hit show on Fox. Consequently, he will not participate in Celtic Thunder’s fall tour.

Celtic Thunder, which also features Neil Byrne, George Donaldson, Keith Harkin, Emmet Cahill and Ryan Kelly, is already working on their next album, titled Voyage, which is estimated for a spring 2012 release.
