Casting Crowns have revealed plans to extend their “Come to the Well” tour in support of their 2011 album of the same name. The Christian rock band will make their way to Massachusetts for a performance at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium on Thursday, March 15. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $25.50 to $51.50, are now on sale through the venue’s box office and website. Also performing at the show will be Matthew West, Royal Taylor and Lindsay McCaul.

Come to the Well, Casting Crowns’ fifth studio album and follow-up to 2009’s Until the Whole World Hears, debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 after its release last October. Powered by hit single “Courageous”, the new album features writing contributions from fellow Christian artists Steven Curtis Chapman and West. As with previous records this one draws inspiration from the band’s ministry efforts at its home church, Eagles Landing Baptist Church, outside of Atlanta, where frontman Mark Hall serves as youth pastor.

In November, Casting Crowns won their second career American Music Award for “Favorite Artist” in the Contemporary Inspirational category.

Last summer, Hall released his third book, “The Well: Why Are So Many Still Thirsty?”.
