Casting Crowns will soon return to the road to promote their brand new album, Thrive. The Christian stars will make a pair of stops in New England, including one in Massachusetts. The band will perform at the Mullins Center in Amherst on Saturday, March 1. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $24 to $75, are now on sale through Ticketmaster. Special guests Laura Story and For King & Country will also perform.

Thrive, Casting Crowns’ seventh studio effort and follow-up to 2011’s Come to the Well, debuted at #6 on the Billboard 200 after its release last week. Produced by Mark Miller, the album features 12 tracks with half following a theme of “reaching out” and another half following the theme of “digging deep”.  In writing songs for Thrive, Hall enlisted some of his favorite collaborators, among them Matthew West, Matt Maher and Bernie Herms. Lead single “All You’ve Ever Wanted” is streaming below.

Accompanying the release of the album, Casting Crowns lead singer Mark Hall will release his newest book “Thrive – Digging Deep, Reaching Out” next week. The book, his fourth, includes stories and teachings for those looking to take the next step of faith.

“The idea of Thrive came out of our student ministry and what we’ve been teaching for years on what a believer looks like,” explained Hall in a press release. “This record and book is an effort to draw a picture of what a believer would look like if they dug into their roots and understood God and themselves more. We must first learn who God is and who we are. With that, half of our record is all about learning who God is and who you are. The other half is about how that works out. How are you going to get out there and let God live His life through you?”

Prior to the show in Amherst, Casting Crowns will perform at the Cumberland County Civic Center in Portland, Maine on February 28.
