Cage The Elephant and Foals have revealed plans to join forces for a co-headlining tour this spring. The two rock favorites will make their way to Massachusetts for a performance at Boston’s Orpheum Theatre on Sunday, May 4. Tickets for the show, which will also feature openers J Roddy Walston & The Business, will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation for $35.

Melophobia, Cage The Elephant’s third studio effort and follow-up to 2011’s Thank You, Happy Birthday, was released in October. The album was written and recorded over the course of a year, with various recording sessions taking place at St. Charles Studio in Nashville with longtime producer Jay Joyce. Comprised of ten tracks, Melophobia features guest vocals from The Kills’ Alison Mosshart on “It’s Just Forever”. The video for lead single “Come A Little Closer” is streaming below.

English rockers Foals continue to tour in support of their latest album, Holy Fire. Released in February of last year, the band’s third studio effort follows 2010’s Total Life Forever. Produced by Flood and Alan Moulder (PJ Harvey, Nine Inch Nails), it was recorded at Assault & Battery studios in London and later nominated for the prestigious Mercury Prize (annual award for the best album from the United Kingdom and Ireland). Holy Fire features singles “Inhaler”, “My Number”, “Late Night” and “Bad Habit”. In October, Foals released their first-ever DVD, entitled Live at the Royal Albert Hall, which was recorded during a sold-out show at the historic London venue last March.
